Supported Charities

The Goodwill Op Shops are proud to support the many worthwhile charities it does.

Especially, charities such as the Royal Far West and the Starlight Children’s Foundation who have an emphasis on helping, disadvantaged, underprivileged and gravely sick Australian Children.

Royal Far West

Royal Far West is a non-government organisation that has been providing health services to children living in rural and remote New South Wales for over 85 years. Our vision is healthy country children.

To achieve this, we work in partnership with families and their local health and education providers to complement existing services within the community. Every year, thousands of country children who have non-acute developmental, behavioural, learning, emotional and mental health disorders, and limited access to local services, benefit from our integrated clinical and educational model of care. We believe kids are our future. Every one of them deserves access to specialist healthcare regardless of where they live.

To keep up to date on all of our activities and programs and to become a friend of Royal Far West, please subscribe to our newsletter here and like us on Facebook.

Starlight Foundation

Our Mission: To brighten the lives of all seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families throughout Australia

Our Reality: Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia, for thousands of these children and their families this admission will lead to a diagnosis that will change their lives for ever. Starlight aim to be there to help increase the well-being, resilience and happiness of these children.

“Looking after a child with a chronic or life threatening illness requires a comprehensive ‘total’ approach to care, a healing environment that includes entertainment, diversion, fun, laughter and joy. Starlight is a key partner in providing these aspects of care.”

Executive Director Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick
